This is the latest construction update on the Aura Condo Tower taking from College Park, as I was walking towards Bay Street yesterday. I keep hearing that the curving curtainwall section has begun construction, but I'm still having some difficulty seeing this. However, within the next few days it should begin to reveal itself, as the tower moves further up, and the concrete construction forms begin to move up the tower, and we can see the completed concrete sections of the Tower.





The Aura Tower is a landmark development for the City of Toronto, and for Yonge Street. It is built near one of the most rundown sections of Yonge Street, that has very little to offer in terms of entertainment and other activities. With the coming of this condo tower, it's mall, its new restaurants, and it's connections to College Park. This should really bring up the standards of the area, and encourage other area businesses to bring up their game and/or develop re-develop their properties.

As sales have declined from the historic highs of 2011, which as I have repeated on this blog was a record year for home and condo sales. So there was likely to be some pull back this year, and of course the doomsayers will jump on this as the Apocalypse heading our way.
