50 Bloor West Super-Skyscraper West Proposes New Sky-Park to Get City Approval

50 Bloor West Super-Skyscraper West Proposes New Sky-Park to Get City Approval

The Developer which will build this super skyscraper in the heart of the most upscale and richest part of Toronto, called Yorkville, which is at the north end of the downtown core, will build a Public Space Sky Garden on top of the Holt Renfrew Store in order to gain council approval for their Mega Skyscraper which will be 83 floors tall. The retailer and developer are proposing a new addition to the massive department store taking it from 4/5 floors up to 8 floors. On top of the store there will be a public park which will be available to the public through concourse on the ground levels of the mall and department store. The Rooftop of the Holt Renfrew Store would then be earmarked as public space, although the area would be privately maintained by the company.

There will also be laneway improvements in the North of the property which will be integrated into the redevelopment of the Cumberland Terrarce Proposal put forth by another developer (Oxford Properties) and the renovation of that mall and retail space with condos, and new stores. The new laneway upgrades would internalize vehicular traffic, and keep it off of Bloor Street. Bloor Street is the most glamorous shopping destination in Canada or one of the most upscale shopping areas in Canada

"Winchester is a remarkable high-end community, with mansions for sale just 40 minutes from Sacramento and 40 minutes to Tahoe. With golf play all year, it is an ideal location and with the real estate market heating up, we saw a tremendous opportunity to restore the magnificence and vision of one of California's greatest residential golf communities," Wells said. They will be hosting a luxury open house for potential clients.

More than 250 Winchester Country Club members and residents attended the summer event Friday night as plans for the golf course refinement, programming, food and beverage enhancements and real estate offerings were presented by experts in their respective sectors. Among them included Jones who designed Winchester Country Club -- which opened in 2000 -- and Gary Mandarich, a renowned Colorado and California real estate developer and contractor with Mandarich Developments.
