Found !!! Union Pearson Express Construction Photos (well, ...kinda?)

I've been out looking for the new Union Pearson Rail cars which are under construction and scheduled to be delivered to Metrolinx ( the provincial agency charged with handling transit in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area) this year, so that testing can begin for scheduled service in 2015, so far I have had little luck in retrieving any construction photos of the trains which are being built by the massive Sumitumo of America/Japan Corporation and a subsidary called Nippon Sharyo.

What is the Union Pearson Express Line?

The Union Pearson Rail Link will shuttle passangers between Union Station in downtown Toronto and then out to Pearson International Airport in about 25 minutes with just two short stops between. The trains which are diesel electric, but not fully electric as proponents of a fully electrified line, would have you know. However they will be faster, quieter and less polutting than the current fleet of GO Trainset commuter trains.

Why all the secrecy involving the UPX Train's Construction?

I don't know why Metrolinx has yet to share a photo of the new diesel electric trains with the public, I myself think it would be fascinating to see the trains under construction before they are delievered to the agency later this year. At least to give us an idea of what the trains look like before they get covered up in their liverly and fitted with unique to Metrolinx customizations.

Well, I did find this photo of the exact model being constructed for the Sonoma Marin Area Rapid Transit Authority, and these trains are an almost exact clone of the trains which will be arriving in Toronto for the Union Pearson Line later this year. I hope that we can get a good idea if this is what are trains will look like, so as an added care, I have added the renderings for both SMART Transit and the UPX Transit line so that you can first confirm they are identical, then the last photo is the SMART trains under construction in Japan (prototype model) which will then be shipped to Sumitumo of America's plant in the Midwest for full assembly and production.
