501 Yonge on the Backburner as Lanterra Moves Wellesley on the Park into Sales

501 Yonge Gets redesign, and is on the back burner now that Lanterra has moved forward with putting Wellesley on the Park into sales. The sales presentation centre is currently under construction for that project. Lanterra also has a project planned in Toronto including the St. Jamestown project with multiple towers planned included 601 Sherbourne.

Currently the 501 Property contains a lowrise commercial building about 1 storey with multiple shops and restaurants selling various items. The 501 Yonge project is not as tall as it was originally proposed when it was going to be two towers both over 190 meters. It has been downsized to about 170 meters and is only one tall tower now with a second tower which is much shorter.

After sales have gone through for Wellesley on the Park, and construction begins on the condo tower, it is likely that prep work will begin either here at 501 Yonge or the St. Jamestown Project at 601 Sherbourne.
