Downtown Toronto Sheraton Hotel on Queen Set to Get A Makeover | Bay and York, south of Queen and north of Richmond

Sheraton Hotel on Queen Set to Get A Makeover

The Downtown Sheraton Hotel on Queen Street, is set to get a new skin of double paned glass, in a coming springtime renovation. The building has been worn down over 40 years plus of being exposed to the elements and the renovation will also improve the buildings energy efficiceny ranking. There is no talk however of redoing, the buildings, concrete facade or the Queen Street Frontage which has been the subject of much online wrangling over the past 10 years or so. Unfortunately due to logistics of getting people and cars inside and outside of the building there is not much hope of a pedestrian friendly frontage in the near future.

Sheraton Centre Toronto
This is one of the main hotel complexes in downtown Toronto. It sits between Bay and York, south of Queen and north of Richmond. Along with the Delta Chelsea, this is one of the larger hotels in the core. Located very close to the Financial Core and to the tourist attractions you almost can't go wrong if you decide to make your accommodations here on a trip to Toronto. The side benefit is you'll get great views overlooking Nathan Phillips Square and Toronto City Hall. (Both the old and new versions)
