The latest renderings of the office development on the north-eastern edge of the Toronto Financial District show how the building will align with Adelaide as well as Yonge Street and how the historic facade will create a plaza and streetwalled Temperance. The podium which will flank Adelaide and Yonge Streets is sleek and modern airy, also allowing for an extensively wider sidewalk on both streets. If there is anything that Yonge Street needs it's wider sidewalks. New developments on Yonge Street are mandated to have greater setbacks which will allow for wider pedestrian blvds.

The Bay Adelaide Tower East is the second tower in the 3 tower development. There has been a proposed tower Bay Adelaide North (Bay Adelaide 3) just north of Temperance and South of Richmond and the Bay Store. This latest tower will reach some 196 meters making it the second tallest office tower built in Toronto in 20 years.
