Toronto Skyscraper Blog Teams Up With NimbyTect

Urban Planning Takes brains, and dealing with the challanges of urban design also takes creativity. It is in this vein that the Toronto Skyscraper Blog Teams up with amateur urban planner (AKA urbandreamer on Twitter) to re-imagine what some of our current condos would look like if they had been planned with a more unique flare!

NimbyTect's First project occurs at the Corner of Kirk and Kirk (that would be Front and Church for the none Celtic Speakers) and is the site of the currently under construction Berczy Condo in the heart of the St. Lawrence Market Neighbourhood.  This awesome and abstract urban rendering highlights the full potential of the site and intergrate it's form into the built form of it's community. Especially note the St. Lawrence Market Trademark Red Brick, this textured cladding, breaks up the monotony seen in other parts of town where blue and green glass takes centre stage. Brick also creates more texture for the residents and patrons of the area alike.
