Toronto Condo Market Remains Steady into 2013
Christopher Hume of the Toronto Star, has made a best of 2012 list in Toronto's Sky High Architecture. He notes that due to the high amount of construction currently ongoing in Toronto most of it highrise and skyscraper construction. Although he points out that low rise architecture has seen nice new developments by RAW Design, which was not welcomed in the Ossington and Queen Street Area.
George Brown Centre of Health Sciences : Designed by KPMB and Stantec, this building on the Toronto Watefront, has created waved, and also greeted Canadian Sailors and the Ville De Quebec Destory Frigate that sailed into town last summer.
Regent Park Aquatic Centre: on the grounds of the newly redeveloped Regent Park Projects, and Toronto Housing. It has avante guard design and showcases the future look of the newly rebuilt community.
First Canadian Place: The Tallest tower in Toronto at 978 feet or 298 meters, and the tallest tower in Canada, this building had it's old marble skin replaced by elegant glass over the past two years, and its now the star of the financial district
Cathedral Centre, St. James Cathedral:
Ryerson Image Centre: This building has the great LED Light show at the corner of Gould and Victoria hard to miss even from all the glittering lights of Yonge and Dundas. Makes learning look fun!
Mattamy Athletic Centre at the Gardens: Ryerson's Remake of the Old Maple Leaf Gardens Building, also serves as a Loblawas Grocery Store, and a Ryerson Ice Hockey and Skating Arena for students and teams alike.
