Toronto Office Construction On A Tear!

Toronto Office Construction On A Tear!

Toronto's Office Construction and Office Market is on a tear, we recently learned of the construction permit for Bay Adelaide 2 (East) being filed with the city, and work was well underway visible from the parking decks, to the underground PATH Mall at Brookfield's Landmark Development, and then the buildings on Yonge and Adelaide were shuttered in preperation for the construction of the massive tower to begin.

Then we learned just down the street, that Oxford's 100 Adelaide had filed for it's construction permit with that tower, and that the tenants had already begun to be evicted from that property, so by the end of the year and the beginning of next year, there is likely to be over 6 million square feet of office space under construction in Toronto. To put that in "Laymans" Terms that is about the equivelent of six - 50 Floor Office Towers, under construction at one. I dear say, that Toronto must be the leader in Office Construction in Canada without doubt more than even the booming city of Calgary. And remember, Toronto's economy is not even hot, at least not yet.

    1. That Would Be Nice! However, It might take some time, they kinda have a bit of a head start on us. I can see us as the current number 2 right now, ahead of even Chicago, although some might disagree with even that statement.
