Toronto Condo Market Remains Steady into 2013
One of my favorite projects in the United States of late has been the Museum Tower project in Dallas, it was built and designed by Scott Johnson of "Johnson Fain". As I will tell you right here, Toronto is not the only city experiencing an insane condo boom, so too is Dallas, and it's almost on par with what we have here, however due to the nature of the building codes in Dallas, the buildings constructed there, are more likely lowrise than highrise, as is the norm for new towers in Toronto.
The Museum Tower as Scott Johnson states that it is modeled on the lines of the Doric Columns. The tower itself is 42 floors and is built in the modern yet classic design. And it's skin is wrapped in curtain wall glass. The developer of the project, is the Dallas Police and Fire Pension Systems. The interior of the project was laid out by Booziotis & Company Architects, and the common areas designed by HBA Hirsch Bedner Associates. The controversy has been stemming from the large amount of sunlight reflected onto a neighbouring museum piece. The tower is located in the Dallas Arts District.
2012 : Record Year For Toronto Office Deals
2012 Was a record year for putting together office deals in the commerical sector in the Greater Toronto Area. While there is widespread concern for the health of the residential highrise market, the Toronto office market is just soaring. There were a total of 1,984 transactions with pricetags over 1 million dollars. The total value of all deals was $13 billion dollars. It was the best year for Toronto Office Deals since 2009 and the financial crisis.
