Construction Update

This tower is being built by Oxford properties of Toronto it is located at King Street and is in the heart of the Toronto financial District.

The building will be home to many offices including the ontario municipal retirement Education Fund which also on Oxford properties and they are the developer of this building.

There is actually a condo building that is going up across the street it is being developed by lifetime and developments it is called the index condo and is also located on Richmond Street just north of Adelaide where the Oxford tower is being built.

Toronto is in the middle of an unprecedented condo and office construction boom there are currently about 150 towers being built in Toronto that are over 12 floors tall now I do not believe at any time in history have so many large towers been billed in Toronto at one time outside of the past five to seven years.

Other office towers being built in Toronto include 45 Bay which is set to begin construction next month and is being developed by Metrolinx and Ivanhoe Cambridge. Another tower being developed or is it a potential development is Union Plaza which is going to be developed by REIT.

The tower 100 Adelaide West is in close proximity to other office towers in the financial district they include first Canadian place which is home to the Bank of Montreal headquarters and operations and is also close to the Sheraton Hotel which is located on Richmond just to the north and of course there are the toronto-dominion towers as well as the Trump Tower which are also very close nearby.
