$5 Million Penthouse Breaks Record as Most Expensive Luxury Condo Sale in Victoria

Sotheby's International Realty Canada announced today the noteworthy sale of a $5 million penthouse, which will rank as the most expensive condominium sale in Victoria.
The 4,226-square-foot property in Victoria's James Bay is part of the luxurious Shoal Point development on Dallas Road. Owned by award-winning music producer David Foster and designed by his wife Yolanda Foster, the penthouse unit had been renovated back to the studs and reconstructed by C&W Campbell Homes Ltd. and a local architect.
The luxurious penthouse features floor-to-ceiling windows with panoramic views of Juan de Fuca Strait and Victoria's Inner Harbour. The expansive floor plan spans two floors and features three large bedrooms, a gourmet kitchen with elegant marble counters and top-of-the-line appliances, and a master bedroom with in-floor heating and a custom walk-in closet. A spacious deck overlooking the city skyline, ocean and distant mountains connects the home to the outdoors.
"David bought this home because he fell in love with the building and its incredible views, and Yolanda redesigned it into a modern and original masterpiece that both of them have cherished," said Sophia Briggs, listing agent with Sotheby's International Realty Canada. "This is a property that is truly one of a kind."
The home was marketed locally, nationally and internationally by Sotheby's International Realty Canada listing agents Sophia Briggs, James LeBlanc and Scott Piercy. The purchasers of the home are from outside the Victoria region.
"This is a notable sale for the Victoria real estate market, not only because it breaks the record for condo sales, but because the interest that we saw from potential buyers locally and around the world is a very promising indicator for Victoria's luxury real estate market leading into spring," said President and CEO of Sotheby's International Realty Canada, Ross McCredie.
