Melbourne Planning Approves Tallest Skinniest Tower Skyscraper

The skinnest and tallest tower in Melbource has been approved by the City's planning department Minister. The tower which is so narrow at it's skinniest point is only 12 meters wide, yet will rise over 230 meters and 74 floors tall.

The building itself is located at 56 Clark in downtown Melborune near the Southbank Casino areas. The building features a unique cladding, with multi-textured diamond layering as welling as a unique twisting design similar to other buildings in Malmo Sweden and Mississauga, Canada. The slight turn has actually been engineeered to allow generous lightflow into the building and all floors.

 At 73 floors and over 235 meters containing some 260 apartments, the building will also house amenties such as party rooms, and pools with sun deck, as well as a luxury spa component. Other key features of the building include: onside power generation capabilities, as well as cafes and other sustainable features which should allow energy cost to minimized in an innovative way.
