Langham Hospitality Group Does Upgrades to Toronto Building

Cladding work continues on the Eaton Chelsea in downtown Toronto at Gerrard and Yonge Intersection. The Chelsea Hotel has recently been rebranded after the Delta Hotel decided to build a new tower for their Toronto Operations down in the Southcore District of Toronto. The Eaton Chelsea is actually the largest hotel in Toronto and has been so for over 40 years now, with 1500 rooms, and a prime central location in the heart of the Yonge and Dundas Retail Strip. The hotel is owned by the Hong Kong Based Great Eagle Group which runs the hotel under it's Langham Hospitality Group banner. This is actually the first Langham branded Hotel to be set up in Canada.

While recent conversation in Toronto has centred around the retail construction building boom happening in the city at this time, there is actually large amounts of commercial, retail and hospitality construction underway in the city right now. In fact the Delta group which previously occupied the Eaton Chelsea space is now building a 46 floor tower in the Southcore District of Toronto, which as construction nears completion looks like it will become a showstopping piece of work.

Across the street from the construction ongoing at the Eaton Chelsea you have the Aura Condo Tower, and the Shops of Aura under construction. This condo tower with mixed uses including retail and amenties space is almost topped out, and the cladding is currently rising on the upper levels of the tower. When complete it will become the tallest condo tower in all of Canada.
