A Lasalle Condo Project is in need of Major Road and Driveway Repairs. - Condo Owners must wait till spring for completion. The condo project where some units are close to 1 million dollars are located in a major Montreal Area suburb. The Mayor of LaSalle says the roads required for the city to take ownership of the project should be completed by winter.

The Bois-des-Caryers condo development project is owned by a numbered company 9181-5172 Quebec Inc. According to government records, that company is currently owned by Patricia Navarro and Allan Schachter — both of whom refused CBC’s requests for an interview. 9181-5172 Quebec Inc. was initially owned by Patricia Navarro and Ricardo Magi, who is the brother of Tony Magi — the controversial businessman with ties to the Montreal Mafia. Staff at the condo sales office say Tony Magi initially "put together" the project and acted as a consultant, but that he is no longer officially involved.

Residents in Brossad Quebec Petition Agaisnt Condo Develoopment

Residents are upset that a major development project will reduce an 18-hole golf course that has been around since the 1960′s to just nine-holes.

They have created a group, eager to stop the development and presented their case at a City Council meeting Monday night.

The golf course was originally independently owned but the city bought it and then sold it to a housing developer in 1999 for $2 million dollars.
