Provinically Owned #Toronto Lot Sold to Lanterra $65 Million Dollars

Provinically Owned Lot Sold to Lanterra $65 Million Dollars

The provincially owned vacant lot off the corner of Wellesley and Yonge has been sold to Lanterra Developments for $65 Million Dollars. This lot was once the planned home of the Toronto Opera Building, however funding fell through and the building failed to materalize. Now Lanterra is planning an epic super project worthy of the price tag. Local counciler Tam Wong, is trying to have a park instilled on the site at the behest of locals whom have been demanding one there for quite some time, however she, the residents and the city were unable to out-bid the developer in the requested provincially transparent bid process. (Beggars, can't be choosers I guess.)

Anyways, here is the story from the Globe.
