Here is a photo I took last year at the Yorkville Exotic Car Show, which was during the summer. Lots of exotic cars, and good times for all. The photo above has a couple of sweet rides, including the Ford GT 40 supercar, and the classic Ford Shelby Roadsters. At this autoshow there were also cars from Ferrari, Lamborghini, TVR, Fisker, Porsche, Bentley, Rolls Royce and Aston Martin. The Ford GT40 is a recreation of the classic roadster that Ford ran at the 24 Hours of Leman and it's first entry in the the supercar, exotic car ranks, to which American Cars are a rarity. GM Has the Corvette, and Chrysler has the Viper, but Ford didn't have a car in the game. The GT 40 gives Ford a toehold in the Exotic Supercar market.
Yorkville is an area not unaccustomed to seeing very high end cars, it has been such a focus of development that numerous real estate projects are in the works. Some of those projects include the One Bloor East project which will rise almost 75 floors at the corner of Yonge and Bloor, which is currently under construction. Other projects in the works in the Yorkville District include the proposed redevelopment of the Holt Renfrew Centre, which will include an 83 floor tower and upgraded retail facilities. You can read more at my blog, just type in "Yorkville" or "Yorkville Exotic" into the search bar and all relevant post will appear. There are many projects going on in Toronto right now, in fact, there are 150 highrise towers under construction in Toronto right now, more than twice the number than what you have in New York.
Cheers!
