Entertainment District, Not So Entertaining Anymore
Here is Daniels Cinema Tower rising alongside the Festival Tower (TIFF) also a Daniels undertaking, Scotiabank Theatre is seen in the Foreground. The Entertainment District is becoming density driven by all the new condo projects. There are many more condos to come.
Toronto currently leads all of North America in Skyscraper Construction in fact there are almost as many skyscrapers and highrises under construction in Toronto as there are in the entire United States. Obviously culture has a bit to do with this. The United States is a far more rural country than Canada. Canada is almost 85% urbanized. And Toronto is a very walkable city. Outside of New York people in the United States drive everywhere.
