Delta Hotel - Construction Update - November 21st 2012
Here is the latest construction update on the Delta Hotel in Southcore Financial Centre. I just happened to walk by today and was shocked to see how tall this one had grown off it's podium. Not too much longer now and we will be seeing the cladding installation of the curtainwall glass. This tower seems to be very much a point tower with a very narrow footprint. That usually means sexy, and I think this is a sleeper canidate for the most under the radar project happening in Toronto now. A surprise to the upside is totally possible with this development. The tower next to the Delta Hotel and also under construction is the Bremner Tower, which will be the second office tower in the GWL Properties Southcore Financial Centre.

The new Delta Toronto, set to open in 2014, will provide 566 well-appointed, generously sized guest suites including 24 long term stay accomodation for vistors who are in Toronto for a longer period of time. The tower will host the most modern features in LEED design not the least of which is heat-recovery airflow, low run water fixtures, keycards to control room lights and air based on suite occupancy, and green roofs throughout the building.
“This four-star hotel will serve as a flagship property for Delta Hotels in Canada and, with its many advanced features, will allow them to move and exceed the expectations of our vistors" said Hank Stackhouse, whom is the CEO, Delta Hotels and Resorts. The Delta-Southcore will be targeted within easy distance from the Toronto financial and entertainment district, which can allow us to fulfill the needs of both business and leisure travellers and connect them to the city in a convenient way.
Hmm Nice! Even though it's not finished yet it's a bit huge and I think it's comfortable to stay in. Ooh by the way, here's another comfortable place for you and your family, A Bryce Canyon Hotel.
