L Tower and Union Station Second Platform Construction
In the forground of the picture you can see the work fully underway on the Union Station Second Platform and the L Tower in the background soaring into the sky. The Union Station Renovation will bring capacity of Union Station up from about 350,000 people per day to almost 1 million people per day. So in laymans terms this is a massive renovation. They are currently opening up Front Street to get access to the system tunnels, once complete, you'll be able to walk from the Harbourfront LRT Station right to the subway platform all at the same underground level.
