Hamilton Planning Convention Centre Makeover - With Skyscrapers

Hamilton Planning Convention Centre Makeover - With Skyscrapers

Well, no sooner than the new renderings of Oxford Place came out regarding the re-working of the Metro Convention Centre in downtown Toronto, then images of a Hamilton Skyscraper proposal on the site of thier convention come to light at posted by MeIsThomas and linked back to the City of Hamilton and Convention Centre website. One must assume they are serious, although, I have my doubts about Hamilton being an entertainment centre. The proposal however goes as follows:

Hotel Entertainment Complex:- 44 story, 440 Room Hotel
- 150 Condominium Units
- 3 World Class Restaurants
- Classy and Sophisticated Rooftop Lounge
- High Energy Lobby Bar
- Retail Shops including Hugo Boss,
Lululemon, Marciano and More
- First Class Amenities

Economic Benefits:- $150-200 Million

- 700,000 Sq. Ft. Complex
including 200,000 Sq. Ft.
of parking to accommodate
1000 parking spaces.

- Creation of 500 to 800 jobs
between hotel, restaurants,
shops and attractions.
