New TTC Revenue Streetcars Delivered

The TTC has been testing for the new streetcar, with prototype vehicles. These new prototype streetcars have tested every inch of the 305 km of TTC track throughout the city. Now after all the testing, the new streetcars are about to hit the streets in less than 2 months. The prototype testing has allowed the TTC to go back to Bombardier with design modifications to ensure the new vehicles are 100% reliable when they go into service on August 31 2014. The will go into service first on the Spadina line which thankfully travels in its own Right-of-Way and even at the Harbourfront, there is also a right of way, although there is construction there as a new waterfront promenade is being built.
