Toronto Skyscraper Listing

One of the first boutique hotels to set up shop in Toronto, along with the Hazelton and the Thompson Hotel. Its located off Yonge Street south of King in the St. Lawrence Market area. The lower portion of the tower is hotel, with condos built on the upper floors. It was built around the same time as the Pantages Hotel just up the street at Victoria and Shuter.

Shangri-la Toronto Towers Over Entertainment District
Here is a photo from the summer and Shangri-la Toronto in all its glory towering over the historic warehouse buildings of the Entertainment District. Giving a new focal point to the Toronto skyline when viewed from the west.
Shangri-la has now opened to better than rave reviews as its hospitality, service friendly staff and attention to detail has wowed owners and guest alike.

The biggest news has been the crazy line ups at Momofuku the new trendsetting restaurant launched by David Chang.
The building also did double duty at the Toronto International Film Festival as a staging point for film security and logistics as private firms whisked stars to and from opening galas in executive limousines. It is located conveniently across the street from Roy Thomson Hall.
Shangri-la Toronto is part of a massive wave of 5 star hotel development that has swept Toronto over the past years. It started with niche hotels The Thompson Hotel, and the Hazelton Hotel. Then came full bore with the Ritz Carlton Toronto, then Trump Toronto, then Shangri-la Toronto and on Friday the Four Seasons Hotel opened the doors to its new Yorkville Home.
Now the battle for customers begins. Let's see who really towers over the competition once the dust settles...
